Fresh off its first loss of the season Tuesday night, Sacramento State (3-1) will look to get back on the winning track on Saturday when the team travels to Conway, Ark., for a game at Central Arkansas (1-2)…tip-off at the Farris Center is scheduled for 5:05 p.m. PST…Sacramento State was attempting to win its first four games of the season for just the second time in school history, but could not overcome a torrid shooting UC Davis squad in a 87-76 home loss…still, the 3-1 record matches the team's best mark after four games in the last 12 years…the Hornets had shot at least 42 percent in all three games prior to going ice cold against UC Davis and finishing the game shooting 35.8 percent from the field…Saturday will mark the Hornets' second road game of the season with the other coming in a 74-71 upset victory over Utah on Nov. 16…the Hornets will attempt to win their first two road games of the season for the first time since joining the Div. I ranks in 1991-92…though still very early in the season, the Hornet trio of Dylan Garrity (17.0), John Dickson (16.8) and Mikh McKinney (15.5) have combined to average 49.3 of the team's average of 82.8 points per game…one of those three players has led the team in scoring in all four games thus far…Sacramento State will be playing Central Arkansas for the second time in school history with the other occasion coming last season in Sacramento in a 75-54 Hornet win (box score on page 9)…in that game, Dickson and Konner Veteto both scored a team-high 16 points…Central Arkansas is providing a free video stream of Saturday's game at ucagameday.com…the game can also be heard over the airwaves in the foothills on KAHI 950 AM and on the internet at www.hornetsports.com with 16th year play-by-play announcer Steve McElroy calling all the action...live stats for the game are available via ucagameday.com.
