2007-08 Season
Appeared in 21 games and averaged 11.7 minutes per contest...shot 43.5 percent (30-69) from the field while averaging 3.7 points, 1.3 assists and 1.0 rebounds per game...posted season highs in points (11) and assists (4) at home against Northern Arizona, and followed that up two games later with 10 points and three assists at Idaho State.
2006-07 Season
Played in all 29 games during his freshman season, including four starts...averaged 3.4 points, 1.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 0.7 steals in 13.7 minutes per game...shot 36.6 percent (41-112) from the field...scored a career-high 15 points (6-of-11 shooting) at Northern Arizona on Dec. 28...also had 13 points (6-of-9 shooting) at Washington, which was ranked 17th in the nation at the time...had a season-high four rebounds on three occasions...had a season-high three steals in 18 minutes at Northern Colorado.

A 2006 graduate of Communication and Media Arts High School (also known as CMA) in Detroit...played four years of basketball for the Pharaohs, starting each of the last three seasons as the team’s point guard...as a senior, he was named all-state, all-metro, first team all-league and team MVP after leading CMA to a Detroit Southwest Division championship...averaged 18.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game...also a first team all-league selection as a junior, Young led CMA to both the division and district championships during the 2004-05 season.
