2011-12 Season
Appeared in 27 games, including five starts…missed the game at Washington State with a knee injury…was the Hornets’ fourth leading scorer at 9.0 points per game…also averaged 4.7 rebounds and 18.8 minutes…shot .497 (89-179) from the field, the 12th best mark in the Big Sky…his 111 free throw attempts were second most on the team…averaged one free throw attempt every 4.6 minutes played…scored in double figures 10 times, including a season-best 25 points vs. Idaho State, and 24 against Northern Arizona…lone double-double came against North Dakota when he had 14 points and 10 rebounds…helped the Hornets overcome a 17-point deficit to beat local rival UC Davis after posting 14 points and nine rebounds…averaged one point every 2.1 minutes played…against Big Sky competition, he raised his season averages to 9.7 points and 4.9 rebounds per game on .547 shooting (58-106) from the field…scored in double figures in four straight games from Nov. 13-30.

2010-11 Season
Practiced with the team, but did not play in any games…took a redshirt.

Prior to Sacramento State
Played two seasons (2008-10) at UC Riverside…appeared in 51 games (12 starts)…during that two-year span, he averaged one rebound every 3.5 minutes of play, combining to post 3.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 12.6 minutes per game while shooting 50.8 percent (66-130) from the field…of his 183 career rebounds, 71 came on the offensive glass…as a sophomore in 2009-10, he started the first eight games of the season, including a game against Sacramento State where he had six points and six rebounds in 20 minutes…tallied seven points and a career-high 13 rebounds at New Mexico in the season opener, and followed that with a team-best 14 points and eight rebounds in 28 minutes at USC…in the nine games he started during the season, Veteto averaged 6.6 points and 6.2 rebounds per game…as a freshman in 2008-09, he tallied averages of 3.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 11.6 minutes per game while shooting 59.6 percent (31-52) from the field…his season highs in points (15) and rebounds (11) both came against Cal Poly.

High School
A 2007 graduate of Placer High School in Auburn, Calif…competed in basketball, football, volleyball and track and field for the Hillmen…in basketball, he was a two-time first team all-league selection…as a senior, he averaged 20.1 points and 10.0 rebounds per game…the team combined for a 39-18 record during his final two seasons…participated in the Sac vs. Bay Showdown which features the top high school basketball players in Northern California…qualified for the 2007 Sac-Joaquin Section Championships in the shotput…went on to attend Summit College Prep in Simi Valley, Calif., in 2007-08, playing for Summit’s elite prep program which is recognized as one of the best nationwide.

Personal
Parents and Gary Veteto and Shauna Henson…a sociology major…mother, Shauna, played two years of basketball for Gonzaga, and father, Gary, swam for two years at BYU...cousin, Karly Sipherd, played volleyball for Nevada from 2004-07.
