2009-10 Season
Played in eight games as a walkon freshman...averaged 0.6 points, 0.5 rebounds and 0.3 steals in 2.9 minutes per game...season totals included five points, four rebounds and two steals...scored all five of those points, including a three-pointer, against William Jessup.

Junior College
Attended courses at Oakton Community College (Des Plaines, Ill.) during the 2008-09 academic year, but did not compete.

High School
A 2008 graduate of Richmond-Burton High School in Illinois...played three years of basketball for the Rockets as the team’s point guard...also ran one year of cross country...a unanimous first team all-Big Northern Conference selection and team MVP during both his junior and senior seasons...also an all-area selection as a senior after averaging 18.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists per game...named to numerous all-tournament teams during his career...led the Rockets in scoring, assists, steals and free throw percentage during both his junior and senior seasons.

Born Oct. 2, 1989...parents are Tom and Michelle Johnstin...a government major...along with current Hornet teammate Dani Lopez, he trained in 2009 with Full Package Athletics in Illinois.
