Prior to Sacramento State
Played his sophomore season (2008-09) at Highland Community College in Freeport, Ill., and his freshman year (2007-08) at Missouri State-West Plains...as a sophomore, he was the starting power forward for a Highland team that went 31-6 overall, placed seventh at the NJCAA Men’s Div. I National Basketball Tournament and won the District IV, Region IV and Arrowhead Conference championships...one of four players from that Highland team to sign with an NCAA Div. I program...a first team all-conference selection after averaging 11.1 points and 5.9 rebounds per game...in addition, the left-hander shot 58.6 percent (143-244) from the field and 40.5 percent (15-37) from the three-point line...named to the region all-tournament team...as a freshman at Missouri State-West Plains (where he backed up Paul Carter, who currently plays for Minnesota), Bjegovic appeared in 26 games while averaging 12.1 minutes, 4.0 points and 2.7 rebounds per game...shot 45.6 percent (36-79) from the field and 39.1 percent (9-23) from the three-point line.

High School
A 2007 graduate of Decatur Christian High School in Illinois...played one year of basketball at Decatur after moving from Croatia to the United States in 2006...missed a good portion of the season with injury.

Personal
Born March 1, 1988...parents are Milan and Ljiljana Bjegovic...a communication studies major...played five years for the KK Split club team in Croatia, and won a Croatian national championship with that squad in 2003...was also a member of both the under-16 and under-18 Croatian national teams.
