Redshirted the season because of a foot injury.
Junior College
Spent both his freshman (2006-07) and sophomore (2007-08) seasons at Irvine Valley College...last year, he played for a Laser team that reached the Southern California Playoff Regional Finals, finished with a school-record 27-5 record, and three players from the squad were signed to Div. I scholarships...Kapanoske was the back-up center (behind Bryce Webster, who signed at Utah State) in 2007-08 and posted averages of 3.9 points and 2.1 rebounds per game while shooting 70.3 percent (45-64) from the field...as a freshman at Irvine Valley, Kapanoske started 18 of 27 games while averaging 5.6 points and 4.6 rebounds per game...shot 51.9 percent (55-106) from the field, and scored in double figures six times.
High School
A 2006 graduate of Lutheran High School in Orange, Calif., where he helped lead the team to a 21-9 overall record, an Empire League championship and a CIF Southern Section semifinal appearance during his senior season (2005-06)...that year, he was an all-league selection after averaging 9.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and a league-leading 1.2 blocked shots per game while shooting 54.9 percent (72-131) from the field.
