Played at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, Calif. during his sophomore season (2007-08), and at Humboldt State during his freshman year (2006-07)...as a sophomore, he was the team co-captain and second-leading scorer for a DVC squad that won the Big 8 Conference championship with a 26-8 overall record and a 13-1 conference mark...averaged 12.9 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 0.9 steals per game while shooting 41.2 percent (140-340) from the field, 37.6 percent (73-194) from the three-point line and 74.8 percent (86-115) from the free throw line...at Humboldt State in 2006-07, he played in 17 games for a team that finished 26-4 overall and won the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) championship with a 19-3 record.
A 2006 graduate of Mount Diablo High School in Concord, Calif., where he was a four-year member of the varsity squad...a three-time all Diablo Foothill League selection (first team as junior and senior)...during his senior season (2005-06), he led the league with an average of 26.0 points per game...as a junior, he was the second-leading scorer in the league (17.1 points per game) while also averaging 5.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 3.0 steals and 2.0 blocked shots per game.
