MEN'S HOOPS GETS SET FOR TELEVISED GAME SUNDAY AT PORTLAND STATE

With just six games left on the regular season schedule, Sacramento State (2-21, 1-9) travels to Portland State (16-7, 7-3) this Sunday, Feb. 8, for a 1:05 p.m. tip...the game will be televised locally on Comcast SportsNet California, as well as Altitude Sports & Entertainment with play-by-play man Jeff Friedman and former Portland State guard Rashad Floyd calling the action...free online webcasts of the game will also be available at www.espn360.com and www.bigskytv.org...the Hornets are still looking for their first road win of the season (0-12), and have lost each of those contests by at least 10 points...Portland State defeated Northern Arizona (78-66) at home on Thursday, and is now 8-1 this year inside its friendly confines...the Hornets and Vikings met earlier this season (Jan. 2) in Sacramento with PSU coming out on the winning end, 79-67...Portland State holds an 18-9 record in the all-time series between the two teams, including a 17-8 mark since both teams joined the Big Sky in 1996-97...the Vikings are also 12-1 against the Hornets in Portland...PSU has won the last four meetings between the two teams by an average of 21.8 points per game...Sunday’s game can be heard on the air waves via the Hornets’ flagship station (KRJY 1240 AM) and on the internet at www.hornetsports.com with 12th year play-by-play announcer Steve McElroy calling all the action.
