SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Junior Ricky Glenn tied his career high with 22 points and grabbed a career best 14 rebounds to help lead Sacramento State to a 70-54 victory over Montana State Thursday night at Memorial Auditorium.
The win improved the Hornets to 9-11 overall and 3-6 in the Big Sky Conference. Montana State dropped to 12-11 and 4-6 in league games.
Sacramento State opened the game with a 7-0 run and never relinquished the lead. The Hornets shot a season-high .520 (13-25) from the floor in the opening period and led 33-28 at the break.
Montana State trimmed the deficit to 52-49 with 7:54 remaining but was never able to pull closer.
Glenn, who also scored 22 against the Bobcats last week, finished the game 8-for-13. The forward also added two assists, two blocks and a pair of steals. Sophomore Arinze Anoruo came off the bench to add a career-high 15 points and junior guard Rame Batta contributed nine points, seven rebounds and seven assists.
John Lazosky paced MSU with 15 points. Jermaine Walton and Jeff Riggs also added 10 points in the loss.
