Playing its best basketball of the season, Sacramento State (9-14, 4-8) looks for its fifth straight win on Saturday when the team hosts Montana (18-6, 11-1) at the Nest at 7:05 p.m…after going 0-8 during the first half of Big Sky Conference play, Sacramento State is one of just two league teams to be 4-0 during the second half with Montana being the other…the Hornets increased the winning streak to four games with an 86-76 home win over Montana State on Thursday night…in that game, freshman point guard Dylan Garrity had 16 assists, which were a Div. I-era school record (1991-pres.), tied for the most by a Div. I player this season, and the fourth highest total in Big Sky history…should the Hornets win on Saturday, it would match the team’s longest winning streak during the program’s Div. I era (the 2005-06 squad won five in a row)…the team’s current four-game winning streak is tied for the second longest in the Div.
