One of the top defensive players in Northern California, Blume could make an immediate impact on the defensive line…was a standout wrestler in high school.

High School: Graduated from Sonora High School in 2006…named first team all-Sac-Joaquin Section…became the first player from Sonora HS to earn the honor…was the Valley Oak League co-Defensive Player of the Year…named first team all-VOL…helped lead Sonora to the Sac-Joaquin Div. III championship game…finished the year with 70 total tackles…that total inlcuded six sacks for a combined loss of 30 yards…had eight tackles against Weston Ranch and Rio Linda for his season high…had six tackles against Sierra HS…recorded five stops against Johansen HS, Merced HS and Granite Bay HS — all of which are Div. I…played most of the year at nose tackle…on offense, he was a guard…a decorated wrestler, he was the top ranked heavyweight in the section…also ranked third in the state and 23rd in the nation…was recruited by Fresno State for football and Oklahoma, Tennessee and Cal State Fullerton for wrestling.
