A transfer from Missouri, Russell has one season of eligibility remaining…a proven offensive lineman, he is pencilled in as a starter for the Hornets.

Prior to Sacramento State: Spent the 2005 season at Missouri…appeared in the opening game before being forced to sit out the remainder of the season due to injury.

Junior College: Attended Solano JC from 2002-04…played two seasons for the Falcons…was named all-state and all-conference…was also the team MVP…helped Solano to the playoffs each year.

High School: Graduated from St. Patrick’s High School in 2002…played four years of football…one of the most decorated linemen in the area…was named all-state, all-city, Bay Shore Athletic League Lineman of the Year and team MVP…led the team to its first playoff appearance in 13 years.

Personal: Born 11-29-83…majoring in communication studies…parents are Tim and Rhonda Russell.
