After two years as an all-conference defensive end, Brannon will move to outside linebacker in 2007…coaches believe that he has limitless potential…has great instincts towards the ball…greyshirted during the fall of 2004.

2006 Season: Named second team all-Big Sky as a defensive end…started all 11 games…ended the season with 54 total tackles, which was the most among the team’s defensive linemen…opened the year with four stops, including a sack at Boise State…had at least two stops in all 11 games and had at least five tackles in seven contests…led the team with six sacks and was second with 11.0 tackles-for-loss…had a season-high seven total tackles, including a pair of sacks, in the win over Weber State…also had an interception in that game…recorded his second interception at UC Davis…forced a fumble against Portland State…matched his TFL season high with two stops for a combined loss of 10 yards in the win at Idaho State.

2005 Season: Earned honorable mention all-Big Sky honors during his first collegiate season…started all 11 games at defensive end…had at least three stops in each game…ended the year with 54 total tackles, including 11 for loss and three sacks…ranked second on the team in both tackles-for-loss and sacks…his total tackles led all defensive linemen on the team…biggest game came in the season finale against Montana where he had nine stops (three solo), 3.5 tackles-for-loss and a sack for a 12-yard loss…also had sacks against UC Davis and Northern Arizona…had eight tackles (four solos) in the victory over NAU…also forced a fumble and broke up a pass against the Lumberjacks…recovered a fumble and had a season-high five solo tackles (six total) at Cal Poly.

High School: A 2004 graduate of Cordova High School…played four years of football and basketball and competed in three years of track and field for the Lancers…was a two-time all-Sierra Valley Conference selection in football…named SVC Defensive Player of the Year as a senior…was named to the Sacramento Bee’s All-Metro team that same year…helped lead Cordova to a 12-1 overall record and a Sierra Valley Conference title as a senior…played tight end and linebacker…also earned all-conference honors in basketball.
