According to coaches, he had a very good spring and will fight for a starting job at receiver…has shown the ability to go across the middle of the field to make a catch.

2006 Season: Played in eight games as a receiver and on special teams…caught five passes for 91 yards…ranked second on the team with an average of 18.2 yards per reception…caught a 44-yard pass at Northern Arizona and then grabbed a 26-yard reception the following week against Northern Colorado…caught two passes against NAU and UC Davis.

2005 Season: Caught six passes during the season for 72 yards…averaged 12.0 yards per reception…caught two passes for 33 yards in the win over Northern Arizona…had two catches for 32 yards at Weber State…also had one catch against Idaho State and Montana…longest reception was for 31 yards against NAU…also had a 20-yard grab at Weber State.

Prior to Sacramento State: Was a two-year member of the Iowa football team…was on the 2004 Hawkeye squad which won the Big Ten title.

High School: A 2003 graduate of Claremont High School…competed in four years of football and three years of track…named first team all-section in football following his senior season…was twice named all-Inland Valley and was first team all-Baseline League as a junior and senior…named second team all-league following his sophomore season…football team won league title in 2002…holds the school record in the 200 and 4x100.

Personal: Born 1-24-85…a communication studies major who is minoring in real estate…parents are Lou and Kim Fanucchi.
