Prior to Sacramento State: Played two seasons at LA Valley JC…named second team all-American Pacific Conference as an  offensive lineman both seasons.

High School: A 2010 graduate of Crespi HS in Encino, Calif…was a two-time all-Sierra League honoree…played on both the offensive and defensive lines…recorded 10 tackles as a senior…played three seasons of varsity football…helped the team to a berth in the section championship game as a sophomore.

Personal: Majoring in economics…parents are Jose and Maria Melgar.
