2010 Season:
Started all 10 games in which he appeared at cornerback…recorded 47 total tackles…tied for the team lead with two interceptions…returned one 68 yards for a touchdown at Idaho State…also had a pick against Weber State…led the Hornets with seven pass breakups…highest tackle total was nine against Idaho State…had at least three tackles in every game he played…returned a punt 70 yards for a touchdown at Stanford on his first return for Sacramento State…averaged 8.4 yards per punt return on 12 attempts…also returned one kickoff for 17 yards.

Prior to Sacramento State:
Played the 2009 season at Grossmont JC in San Diego…earned first team all-conference and was a first team all-Region III selection as a defensive back…played in the All-America All-Star Game following the season…led the conference with seven interceptions and 21 pass breakups…tallied 44 tackles, including 3.0 tackles-for-loss…spent two years at Arizona (one redshirt) for head coach Mike Stoops.

High School:
A 2007 graduate of Saugus HS…earned all-state, all-section and all-Santa Clarita honors…as a senior, he had 84 tackles and four interceptions…returned two interceptions for TDs and also had two kick returns for scores…caught 46 passes for 937 yards and eight touchdowns as a receiver.

Born 5-9-89…majoring in mechanical engineering…parents are Scott and Julie Monson.
