2010 Season:
Played in all 11 games, mostly on special teams…established himself as one of the top special teams players on the team…blocked a punt against Northern Colorado and returned it 16 yards…was also pivotal in helping the team block five punts during the season…was credited with three tackles during the year, including two at Northern Arizona.

2009 Season: Sat out the season as a redshirt.

High School: Graduated from Granite Bay HS in 2009…was a two-time all-Sierra Foothill League selection, including first team honors as a senior…listed as a two-star recruit by Scout.com…was a team captain as a senior and was named the team’s defensive MVP…recorded 34 tackles and four interceptions as a senior cornerback…had at least one tackle in all nine games in which he appeared…best outing came against Pitman HS where he had nine stops…returned an interception 96 yards against Reno HS…did not allow a receiver he guarded to catch more than three passes in a game…caught one pass for a 16-yard touchdown against Vacaville HS.

Born 8-27-90…majoring in business administration…parents are Scott and Camie Vanderbeek…brother, Jared, was a defensive back for Sacramento State (2007-08).
