2009 Season: Appeared in all 11 games, starting two at tight end during his first season with the team…caught two passes at UNLV in his first game with the Hornets…also grabbed two passes for a season-best 41 yards against Eastern Washington…caught a 5-yard touchdown pass at Northern Colorado for his only touchdown of the season…hauled in a 22-yard catch for his season long…caught the 2-point conversion pass against UC Davis which gave the team a three-point lead with 20 seconds remaining.
Prior to Sacramento State: Played two seasons at Sacramento City JC...in 2008, he led the team with 38 receptions while playing tight end and slot receiver...was also named first team all-Mid-Empire Conference and helped the team to a pair of conference championships while playing for former Hornet head coach Mike Clemons...best game came against Shasta JC where he had six catches for nearly 100 yards.
High School: Graduated from Galt HS in 2006...was a four-sport athlete for the Warriors, competing in football, basketball, baseball and tennis...named first team all-Sierra Valley Conference as a senior...was also the league’s co-Defensive MVP...as a senior, he had 36 total tackles, four tackles-for-loss and four interceptions...blocked two field goals and recovered a fumble...also caught two passes for 69 yards and a touchdown.
Personal: Born 3-26-88...majoring in communication studies...builds custom computers and also plays the saxophone and drums...parents are Hubert and Julie Kelley.
