Prior to Sacramento State: Spent two seasons at Southwestern JC in Chula Vista, Calif...as a sophomore, he helped the team to a Mountain Conference championship and a 7-3 overall record...that season, he rushed for 956 yards and 11 touchdowns and also caught 14 passes to earn first team all-Mountain Conference honors...his average of 95.6 yards per game ranked 16th in the state and he left Southwestern as the school’s all-time leader in career touchdowns with 18...was the school’s National Football Foundation Scholar Athlete Award recipient in 2009.
High School: Graduated from Helix Charter HS in La Mesa, Calif., in 2007...competed in four years of football and three years of track...as a junior, he was named second team all-East County and first team all-Grossmont South League...helped the team to a 9-1 record and the Grossmont South League title as a senior...rushed for 780 yards and eight touchdowns on just 112 carries in 2006.
