Prior to Sacramento State: Played a season at both Sierra JC and Sacramento City JC…spent the 2005 season at Sierra where the team posted a 9-2 overall record…transferred to Sacramento City in 2006 and helped the Panthers to a 6-4 overall mark…attended Humboldt State in the fall of 2007 but did not compete.

High School: Graduated from Del Oro HS in 2004…was named first team all-Metro by the Sacramento Bee as a receiver following his senior season…also garnered first team all-Sierra Foothill League honors that same year…caught 74 passes for 1,286 yards and 14 touchdowns during his final year…helped lead the team to the Sac-Joaquin Section playoffs…also competed in the 400m for track & field.
