2008 Season: Played in all 12 games and made 11 starts at defensive end…the only game he did not start was against Portland State where the team employed a 3-4 front…ended the year with 42 total tackles, including 18 solos…had 4.5 tackles-for-loss with 3.5 sacks…had sacks in consecutive games against Eastern Washington, UC Davis and Northern Colorado — all of which were wins…recovered fumbles against Southern Oregon and UNC.
Junior College: Played two years at Sierra College for head coach Jeff Tisdel as an outside linebacker…was a team captain in 2006…team played in the 2006 Silicon Valley Bowl but was defeated by Foothill (coached by Marshall Sperbeck)…played at Sierra with current teammate Clint Lessard.
High School: A 2005 graduate of Ponderosa HS in Shingle Springs, Calif…played four years of football and three seasons of rugby for the Bruins…was named the Sierra Valley Conference Defensive MVP as a senior…also named all-metro by the Sacramento Bee…played middle linebacker and quarterback…as a senior, he threw for 1,570 yards and 11 touchdowns and also tallied 74 tackles with an interception and recovered three fumbles.
Personal: Born 2-10-87…majoring in economics…his brother, Travis, played quarterback at Nevada and his sister, Lindsay, won a Div. II national championship in softball for UC Davis…parents are Don and Denise Moore.
