An athletic receiver, Barnes will contend for time in the fall…a local product, he has played at Del Campo HS and Sierra JC.

Prior to Sacramento State: Attended Makato State for one year but did not play.

Junior College: Played two seasons at Sierra JC in Rocklin, Calif…named all-conference as a receiver…team went 21-1 in his two years.

High School: Graduated from Del Campo High School in 2002…played football and basketball for three years…named all-city and all-conference as a receiver following his senior year…caught 14 TDs as a senior.

Personal: Born 4-11-84…majoring in communication studies…older brother, Matt, played for the Philadelphia 76ers, Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Clippers…parents are Henry and Ann Barnes.
