Junior College: Played at Fresno City for two years…earned Junior College All-America honors  as a sophomore…also named the California Region II Defensive Player of the Year and was a first team all-Northern California Football Association selection…finished the 2007 season with 71 total tackles, including 16.0 tackles-for-loss and five sacks…also had one interception which was returned for a touchdown and three pass breakups.

High School: Graduated from Chowchilla HS in 2006…was named to the Cal-Hi Sports Small Schools All-State team as a utility player…was the MVP for the Madera Tribune and was a first team all-valley selection by CBS 47 in Fresno, Calif…team posted a 10-2 record during his senior season and won the section title…that year, he recorded 77 total tackles, including 4.0 sacks, rushed for 1,398 yards and had 22 touchdowns.
