Moved to tight end during the fall after playing quarterback last season…will likely be the team’s long snapper…came to Sacramento State after attending Fresno State, Marshall and Long Beach City JC.
2005 Season: Played on special teams during his first season with the team…served as the holder on field goals and extra points for the majority of the season…also saw some time as a long snapper for punts.
Prior to Sacramento State: Played one season at Long Beach City JC…greyshirted at Fresno State in 2002 and then redshirted at Marshall in 2003…helped lead LBCC to a Mission Conference title in 2004 while sharing time at quarterback.
High School: Graduated from Los Alamitos HS in 2002…began his football career by playing linebacker, tight end, fullback and quarterback…was the team’s full-time QB as a senior…that year, he threw for 1,500 yards and 12 touchdowns in five games…also rushed for 150 yards and three scores…team won the Sunset League title as a junior…best single-game performance came against El Modena where he threw for 440 yards and four touchdowns to earn state player of the week honors…was rated as the 15th best quarterback on the west coast as a senior…competed in the Orange County North-South All-Star game.
Personal: Born 12-3-83…majoring in communications…comes from an athletic family where he has two sisters (Angela and Gina) that played collegiate softball at Notre Dame and Pittsburgh, respectively…his brother, Mike, was a catcher at Kansas…was also recruited by Utah State. |
