Prior to Sacramento State: Redshirted at New Mexico State during the 2006 season.
Junior College: Attended Laney JC for two years…played linebacker and was the long snapper for the Eagles…helped lead the team to a Golden Gate Conference championship and berth into the Capital Shrine Bowl in 2005…named honorable mention all-league at linebacker as a freshman…was as an all-academic selection both years.

High School: A 2004 graduate of James Logan HS in Union City, Calif…lettered in football and wrestling all four years…was an all-Mission Valley Athletic League selection in both sports…qualified for the state tournament wrestling at 171 pounds…posted a 36-8 record as a senior…earned numerous academic honors.

Personal: Born 5-29-86…majoring in business…expects to work as a financial planner…parents are Carlos and Connie Alvarado.
