According to coaches, Washington will be one of the leaders in the receiving corps this fall…has shown the ability to be a big-play receiver…is the leading returner on the team in both receptions and receiving yards.

2007 Season: Earned honorable mention all-Big Sky honors as a receiver during his first year with the team…ranked second on the team with 29 receptions and 414 yards…tied for the team lead with three receiving touchdowns…caught at least one pass in 10 of the 11 games…earned the starting nod in eight games…biggest play came at Northern Colorado when he gathered in a deflected desperation pass in the back of the end zone for a 44-yard game-winning touchdown as time expired…had a career-best nine catches for 146 yards and two touchdowns against Eastern Washington…had a reception for at least 25 yards in five games…longest grab was for 50 yards against EWU…his average of 14.3 yards per reception ranked second on the team…all but five of his receiving yards came in the final eight games of the year.

Prior to Sacramento State: Spent two years at Moorpark JC…named second team all-Western States Conference as a sophomore and earned honorable mention honors as a freshman…caught 47 passes for 810 yards and nine touchdowns as a sophomore…ranked 12th in the state with 90.0 receiving yards per game and 15th in receiving yards.

High School: Graduated from Simi Valley HS in 2005…played football, basketball and baseball for the Pioneers…was the Miramonte League co-Defensive MVP as a junior…named first team all-league and was team MVP at receiver as a senior…caught 44 passes for 920 yards and 14 touchdowns during his final season.

Personal: Born 8-22-87…majoring in communication studies…parents are John and Dora Washington.
