BUCK NAMED TO FCS ATHLETIC DIRECTORS ACADEMIC ALL-STAR TEAM

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Sacramento State senior linebacker Peter Buck was named to the Football Championship Subdivision Academic All-Star Team. Buck was one of 52 selections placed on the team which is voted on by a group of six athletic directors from FCS schools.
The honor is the latest for Buck who has also been a semifinalist for the National Football Foundation's Campbell Trophy, the Sacramento State recipient of the NFF's regional award and a Big Sky all-academic selection. The kinesiology major will graduate following the spring semester.
On the field, Buck earned second team all-Big Sky honors following his senior season. The Vacaville, Calif., native led the team with 96 tackles while starting 10 games at linebacker. During the year, he had at least five tackles in every game and had at least 10 stops in four contests. Buck concluded his career with 274 total tackles which ranks fifth in school history.
