SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Senior Christian Clark was named one of the top 10 defensive linemen in the Football Championship Subdivision by The Sports Network. The online site, which is regarded as the primary source of FCS news, is breaking down the top 10 for each position group prior to the start of the year.
Clark earned second team all-Big Sky Conference and second team All-America honors last season after tallying 15.5 tackles-for-loss and 44 total tackles. The 6-foot-3, 265 pounder also had 10 sacks including four in a win over Northern Arizona.
According to defensive line coach Jon Osterhout, Clark has the ability to play all four spots on the line, possesses a very high football IQ and has one of the quickest first steps in the FCS.
As a sophomore, Clark earned honorable mention all-Big Sky honors with 42 total tackles, including 9.0 for loss.
