FOOTBALL ADDS TO ITS RECRUITING CLASS WITH TWO MORE SIGNEES

SACRAMENTO, Calif. --- One day after signing 17 student-athletes to National Letters of Intent, the Sacramento State football team added to its recruiting class with the addition of two high school seniors. The newest members are Joseph Folau of Valley High School in Sacramento and Craig King from St. Ignatius High School in San Francisco. Bios of both players are below.

Joseph Folau / LB / 6-1 / 255 / Sacramento, Calif./Valley HS

Was a member of the Sacramento Bee’s all-Metro first team on defense following his senior season…named the Delta League Defensive MVP and was first team all-league…ended the season with 113 total tackles and averaged 11.3 stops per game…had six sacks and recovered three fumbles…had seven games with at least 10 tackles…season-high 18 tackles came against Elk Grove HS…recorded 15 total tackles against Laguna Creek HS…had 13 tackles against Franklin HS and 12 against Folsom HS…never had less than eight tackles in any of the 10 games…was also recruited by Boise State.

Craig King / WR / 6-2 / 195 / San Francisco, Calif./St. Ignatius HS

A 2006 graduate of St. Ignatius HS in San Francisco…named the West Catholic Athletic League Utility Player of the Year as a senior…was a first team all-WCAL selection, earned second team all-Central Coast Section honors and was honorable mention all-metro that same season…ended the year with 42 receptions for 680 yards and 11 touchdowns…had five catches for 100 yards with two touchdowns along with a punt return for a score against Aptos HS in the first round of the CCS playoffs.
