SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Sacramento State offensive lineman Marko Cavka will participate in the NFL Scouting Combine this weekend in Indianapolis. Cavka becomes the first Hornet to be invited to the prestigious event in school history.This is the third postseason event for Cavka. The Cypress, Calif., native also played in the East-West Shrine Game in San Francisco and the Gridiron Classic in Orlando, Fla.
The 6-8, 290-pounder started the final 42 games of his collegiate career for Sacramento State. Cavka earned his first start against Idaho State in the fourth game of the 2000 season and did not to leave the lineup. He was named honorable mention all-Big Sky Conference following his junior and senior seasons.
For the first time, extensive coverage of the combine will be provided by the NFL Network. The channel, which is available on DirecTV (212), will breakdown the offensive lineman on Saturday, Feb. 21.
