Josh BrownTitle: Linebackers Experience: 1st Year Alma Mater: San Jose State Email:jibrown@csus.edu Bio: Josh Brown is in his first season at Sacramento State. Brown will coach the linebackers in 2006 while reuniting with Marshall Sperbeck.
Brown came to the Hornets from Arizona State where he was a graduate assistant during the 2006 season for the Sun Devils. Prior to moving to ASU, Brown was a defensive assistant at Foothill College under Sperbeck for five seasons. He began his tenure as the defensive line coach from 2000-03 and eventually moved to linebacks and special teams coordinator in 2004 and 2005. Brown was also given the responsibilities as the assistant defensive coordinator during his final two seasons. While with the Owls, Brown made all the defensive and special teams calls during the game.
A native of San Luis Obispo, Calif., Brown has also coached at Gavilan JC in 1999 and San Luis Obispo High School in 1998. After playing his high school ball at San Luis Opisbo HS (1990-94), Brown spent two seasons on the Gavilan JC team (1994-95). He finished his career at Oklahoma in 1996.
Brown graduated from San Jose State with a bachelor of arts degree in sociology. His wife, Kasey, is the daughter of Arizona Rattlers defensive coordinator Michael Church.
