Conor Riley Title: Offensive Line Experience: 2nd Season Alma Mater: Nebraska Omaha, '03 Email: criley@saclink.csus.edu Bio: Conor Riley returns for his second season as the team's offensive line coach. Riley joined the Hornet staff in May of 2011. In his first year at Sacramento State, Riley's group allowed just seven sacks in 11 games. Among the players he coached was Nate Doverspike, who earned second team all-Big Sky honors at tackle. A veteran coach and former All-American, Riley served as the offensive line coach at Nebraska Omaha from 2007-10. As part of his responsibilities, he was also the Maverick's run game coordinator. During his tenure, Riley coached Ben Hochstein to Div. II All-America honors and also placed Jake Krause on the all-North Central Conference first team. In 2009, the Mavericks ranked fourth in Div. II in rushing offense. Riley began his collegiate coaching career at UNO as a student and graduate assistant from 2003-05. He then left his alma mater to become the offensive line coach at Concordia University-St. Paul in 2006. A native Omaha, Neb., Riley enjoyed a standout high school career at Creighton Prep. He began his collegiate playing career at the U.S. Air Force Academy, then transferred to Kansas before returning to Omaha and UNO in 1999. After redshirting his first season, he went on to anchor the Mavericks’ offensive line and was named the North Central Conference’s outstanding offensive lineman twice in his three-year career. He was a second-team Div. II All-American in 2001 and a first-team selection by the American Football Coaches Association and Daktronics as a senior in 2002. He completed his bachelor’s degree at UNO in 2003. Recruiting Area: All high schools and junior colleges in the Sacramento area.
