Adam Herald
Title: Offensive Assistant

Bio: Adam Herald is in his first season at Sacramento State. This year, Herald will work with the team’s tight ends and offensive linemen.

A native of the Sacramento area, Herald graduated from Elk Grove High School before beginning his collegiate career. He spent his freshman season at Linfield College in McMinnville, Ore., before transferring to Foothill College where he played for Marshall Sperbeck in 2005.

With the Owls, Herald was named all-Northern California and helped the team to a pair of Silicon Valley Bowl championships.

Herald then earned a scholarship to Hampton University in Virginia where he was a member of the Pirates’ offensive line. In 2006, Hampton won the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference title.

A strong student, Herald was recognized by the Chi Sigma Alpha and Aplha Kappa Mu honor societies while at Hampton. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in psychology in 2008.

After graduating, Herald returned to Northern California and spent the 2008 and 2009 seasons as the offensive and defensive line coach at Elk Grove High School. He has also worked as a residential counselor at the Sacramento Children’s Home.
