Team/Individual Camp
June 9-12 (Camp Full) & 13-16 (Camp Full) - Application For Students Entering 9th-12th Grade
Each Camp is Limited to 350 Campers
Purpose of Camp: The primary emphasis of the Sacramento State Football Camp is to provide each team and individual camper the opportunity to develop football specific fundamentals from the Hornet Football staff to help them prepare for their upcoming season. Further, our camp will offer live competition and situational football settings to help you improve your team and specific skill set for the 2009 Season.
Individual Campers: You are welcome and encouraged to attend. You will be instructed and coached throughout the day by the Sacramento State Football Staff.
Housing: Dorm Space is limited and given on first come, first serve basis. In order to confirm you space, you must have your $50.00 (Per Camper) non-refundable deposit turned in NO LATER than May 14th, 2009. One check per team for deposits and payment in full.
Required Equipment: You must have helmet, chin strap, shoulder pads, pants, knee pads, thigh pads, hip and tail pads, mouth piece and cleats. Overnight campers must bring their own pillow, blankets, toiletries, and any personal items. No sheets or towels are provided. Sleeping bags are acceptable and encouraged.
Insurance and Medical Care: Each camper must be covered by his parent or legal guardian’s medical insurance. Campers will not be allowed to participate in any activities without this information. The parental consent/insurance information form must be properly filled out and signed before the application will be processed. A full insurance and information packet will be mailed upon receipt of this form. A full-time athletic trainer and assistants are on duty 24 hours a day.
7-on-7 Passing Camp
June 20, 2009 (Camp Full)
• The camp is open to all high school teams with athletes entering grades 9-12 (varsity athletes only).
• Each player should bring mouthguard, two different colored team jerseys or t-shirts, cleats, sack lunch and water.
• Each team will play a minimum of five games. The first three will be predetermined and the next two will come in tournament play. Teams that win in the tournament could play up to seven games during the day.
• The camp will cost $250 per team and includes t-shirts for each player. There is only 16 spots available for teams in each session.
Youth Football Camp
July 6-9 • For Children Ages 8-13
The purpose of the camp is to teach each athlete specialized skills and techniques related to football as well as team strategies and mental approaches to the game that will help prepare you to be a better player.
The instruction will be led by a Sacramento State football coach or visiting coach that will work closely with me.
This camp is for athletes between the ages of 8-13 and the activities will be designed to meet their skill levels in a non-contact setting.
Players capable of competing at the college football level are invited to take the opportunity to learn from Sacramento State coaches while training against one another. This camp is designed for older, advanced players and is fast-paced and highly competitive. Players will be taught individual technique and will also participate in numerous one-on-one and group competitions. Campers will also learn about the college recruiting process, the NCAA and Sacramento State eligibility requirements and how to prepare for their collegiate careers.
