Former Sacramento State offensive lineman Kyle Leitzke enters
his second season on the staff and his first as the Hornets’
tight ends coach.
In 2011, Leitzke served as an offensive assistant where he primarily worked with the offensive line. Among the players he coached was tackle Nate Doverspike who earned second team all-Big Sky honors.
As a player, the Rancho Buena Vista, Calif., native was a two-year starter at center for Sacramento State. Following his senior season, he earned honorable mention all-Big Sky honors and was the winner of the team’s John Gesek Outstanding Lineman Award.
Prior to coming to Sacramento State, Leitzke played two seasons at Palomar JC where he was named all-Mission Conference.
Leitzke graduated from Sacramento State with a degree in history in 2008.
