SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Due to uncertainty regarding air quality in Davis on Saturday, this year's Causeway Classic football game between UC Davis and Sacramento State will relocate to Mackay Stadium, located on campus at the University of Nevada, Reno.
Kickoff is scheduled for noon.
The game is being relocated to prioritize the health and safety of student-athletes from both schools; the decision to switch venues was made in consultation with officials from Sacramento State and the Big Sky Conference.
Existing tickets to the game will be honored at Mackay Stadium. All seating is general admission.
A suggested donation of $5 will be accepted at the stadium gates for fans who did not purchase tickets in advance, all donations will be given to the American Red Cross to support its Camp Fire recovery efforts.
In addition to live stats and in-game Twitter updated on @sachornetsfb, fans can listen to a broadcast of this game on ESPN 1320, or online through TuneIn radio.
Efforts are being made to produce a video stream of the game.
UPDATES (As of 1 p.m.)
• Parking will be free
• Enter through Gate 1 of Mackay Stadium
• Students from both UC Davis and Sacramento State will get free admission with valid ID
• Gates open at 11 a.m.
• There will no concessions but outside food and beverage will be allowed in that are not in glass containers
• UC Davis is working through option regarding ticket refunds and will be able to assist customers next week.
