    After 14 practices over five weeks, the Sacramento State football team will wrap up its spring ball on Friday, May 12. The team will hold a controlled scrimmage at Hornet Stadium beginning at 6:30 p.m. and is open to the public.

    The Sacramento State football team rallied late in the fourth quarter but fell to Northern Colorado, 27-19, on Saturday at Nottingham Field. The Hornets rallied in the final two minutes, driving to the UNC 10-yard line but quarterback Nate Ketteringham was brought down after a lengthy scramble.

    The Sacramento State football team had its Homecoming spoiled as 24th-ranked North Dakota rushed for 422 yards and five touchdowns on the way to a 40-7 victory at Hornet Stadium on Saturday night. The victory improved the Fighting Hawks to 4-2 overall and 3-0 in the Big Sky Conference. The Hornet dropped to 1-5 overall and 1-2 in league action.

The game will kickoff from Elizabeth Dee Shaw Stewart Stadium at 5 p.m. PDT. Sacramento State will be playing in Ogden, Utah for the second year in a row and the third time in four seasons. The Wildcats will come to Sacramento in 2017 in the fourth and final non-conference meeting in the series.
