Lloyd Snleson, who earned the moniker "Mr. Hornet" for his passion for Sacramento State athletics, passed away on Sunday, June 23. Snelson was 78.

Former Sacramento State tight end T.J. Knowles and safety Ryan McMahon both reached agreements with NFL teams over the weekend. Knowles signed as an undrafted free agent with the Kansas City Chiefs while McMahon accepted an invitation to the Green Bay Packers mini camp.

T.J. Knowles to Play in NFLPA Collegiate Bowl
Sacramento State tight end T.J. Knowles has accepted an invitational to play in the NFL Payers Association Collegiate Bowl on Jan. 19. The game will be televised by ESPN2 and be held at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.
