    SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The WAC's top two teams clash this weekend at John Smith Field as Sacramento State (26-13\4, 12-3 WAC) opens a three-game weekend series against New Mexico State (28-10, 11-4 WAC) on Friday. This weekend's series is the first time these two teams have faced each other since the WAC Tournament championship game last season.

    SEATTLE, Wash. – Sacramento State (23-12, 9-3 WAC) broke a 2-2 tie in the eighth inning before adding on in the ninth to defeat Seattle U (8-25, 4-8 WAC), 6-2. With the win, the Hornets took the series from the Redhawks while maintaining their lead among the top of the conference.

Ultimately, the Hornets were able to shut the door, defeating Bakersfield, 10-7, at John Smith Field.

    SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Sacramento State (16-8, 2-1 WAC) heads out on the road for the first time in over three weeks as they travel to Riverside, Calif. to take on WAC newcomer Cal Baptist (17-8, 2-1 WAC) in a three-game weekend series. In its first year in the WAC and at Div. I, Cal Baptist opened the season with a nine-game win streak and won its first conference series last weekend. Sacramento State, meanwhile, has won 14 of its last 16, including wins at No. 3 UCLA and at home vs. Cal.
