Kelly McGhee joins the staff this fall and will serve as the director of player development. He served as an interim assistant coach in the fall of 2013.

McGhee has a long history in Northern California and was formerly a Sacramento State assistant baseball coach from 1979-1981. He spent the 2012-13 school year as a coach at Oak Ridge high school in El Dorado Hills and previously was the freshman head coach and varsity assistant coach at Jesuit high school from 2001-2012.

Since 2008 McGhee was also been the baseball coordinator at Result's Physical Therapy and Training Center, working in conjunction with physical therapists during the rehabilitative and fitness components of the program.

McGhee attended American River College before earning a bachelor's degree in physical education and playing baseball at San Francisco State, earning all Far-Western Conference first team honors. Prior to returning to coaching baseball McGhee served as a Sacramento County probation officer for 26 years.
