RAIN CANCELS MONDAY'S BASEBALL GAME AT RALEY FIELD

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Mother Nature might be the toughest opponent the Sacramento State baseball team will face this season. Steady rain on Monday has forced the cancellation of the team's game at Raley Field against South Dakota State. The two teams still plan to play on Tuesday at noon at Klein Family Field on the Pacific campus in Stockton, Calif.

The original schedule called for a four-game series between the Hornets and Jackrabbits with a single game on Friday, a doubleheader on Saturday and a single game Sunday. The teams then attempted to play a doubleheader on Friday but were only able to get one game in before the rain started. All games on Saturday were washed out and the second game of the series was moved to the synthetic turf of  San Joaquin Delta College on Sunday.

Sacramento State will make its first appearance at Raley Field on Wednesday against Nevada at 6 p.m.
