Last Chance for Baseball Season Tickets

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - With its first home game at John Smith Field just 18 days away and the season opener at Texas on Feb. 15 right around the corner, the time to purchase season tickets for Sacramento State baseball is now.

Sacramento State is coming off its first Western Athletic Conference regular season championship in program history. Head coach Reggie Christiansen and the Hornets also took Fresno State to 13 innings in the WAC Tournament title game a year ago before falling to the Bulldogs. A win would have earned Sacramento State a spot in the NCAA Tournament. WAC Player of the Year Andrew Ayers and freshman All-American Rhys Hoskins are back to anchor this year's squad.

This season, the Hornets play non-conference home series against UC Riverside, Utah Valley and CSU Northridge while playing home WAC series against Louisiana Tech, San Jose State and league newcomers CSU Bakersfield, Texas State and Texas-Arlington. Sacramento State also hosts midweek games against Nevada, UC Davis and Saint Mary's.

Baseball season tickets are available at three different levels and all provide significant savings on the cost of single game tickets.

The Sacramento State Family Fun Pass, which is available for $100, can be used to get a family of four general admission tickets to all home baseball games as well as softball and track and field competitions. The Family Fun Pass can also be used for the remaining women's basketball home games and gymanstics meets. Baseball fans using the Family Fun Pass to attend all 28 home games save a minimum of $348 over single game ticket prices.

Baseball-specific season ticket packages are also available. For a reserved chairback seat in the first three rows to all 28 home games, a season ticket costs $80. Fans can also purchase a baseball flex pass for $60, which secures a chairback seat in the first three rows to any of 15 home games.

The savings of a full season ticket is $200 while the flex pass saves $90 dollars over single game ticket prices.

To order season tickets, visit www.hornetsports.com/ticket or call the Hornet ticket office at 916-278-2222. Season tickets only cover games at John Smith Field. Information on tickets for the March 26 game against Fresno State at Raley Field will be announced shortly.

While season tickets need to be purchased in advance, single game tickets are available at the gate. The cost is $10 for a chairback seat, $8 for adult (18+) general admission and $5 for youth (13-18) general admission.

Tickets for all Sacramento State students, faculty and staff are free, as are tickets for seniors (65+) and children (12 and under)
