SOPHOMORE (2012): Made five appearances and pitched three total innings after suffering an arm injury early in the season.

FRESHMAN (2011): One of the Hornets’ most dependable relievers, recording a 3.24 ERA and 1-0 record in 17 appearances with one start...gave up 15 runs (12 earned) on 27 hits in 33.1 innings pitched with 10 strikeouts...held opponents to a .231 batting average...allowed just one run on three hits with two strikeouts in his lone start of the season against Minnesota...longest outing of the year came at Seattle, where he allowed only one hit in 6.2 scoreless innings of relief with three strikeouts and two walks...nine of his 16 relief appearances were scoreless.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played baseball for head coach Jeff Wise at Center HS of the Capital Valley League...hit .476 with 34 runs and 15 RBIs as a senior in 2009...named all-Capital Valley League after senior season...posted a .458 batting average with 28 runs and seven RBIs as a junior...also a submarine right-handed pitcher.

PERSONAL: Parents are Travis and Rebecca Lukes....did not play baseball in 2009-10 after graduation from high school...brother, Nathan, also plays baseball for the Hornets.
