TUESDAY HOME OPENER AGAINST SANTA CLARA POSTPONED DUE TO RAIN

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Sacramento State baseball home opener against Santa Clara, scheduled for Tuesday, March 3, has been postponed due to rain.
The Sacramento area has been hit with periods of heavy rain the past two days, with more forecast to come the remainder of the week. Up to an inch of rain is forecast to come down in the area on Tuesday alone. There is no makeup date planned for the game as of yet, and the contest was the only one scheduled between the two clubs this season.
The Hornets will return to action against Saint Mary's this coming week in a four-game weekend series that will see the first two games played in Moraga, and the second two played at Hornet Field.
