GAME TWO AT LOUISIANA TECH RAINED OUT; START TIME FOR SATURDAY MOVED TO 1 P.M. CT

4/4/2008

RUSTON, La. - The second game of Sacramento State's four-game Western Athletic Conference baseball series against Louisiana Tech, scheduled for a 6 p.m. Central time start on Friday, has been rained out.

J.C. Love Field, the home of Louisiana Tech baseball, is water logged due to heavy rainfall that has occurred throughout the day today. Rain is also forecast for the rest of the night, with heavy thunderstorms moving across the state. The city of Ruston itself is under a flash flood watch, while some parts of the state of Louisiana are under flash flood warnings, as well as tornado warnings.

Under WAC regulations, the game will not be made up.

The weather looks to be clearing for tomorrow's scheduled doubleheader, with the game time pushed back to 1 p.m. Central time to allow more time for the field to dry out.
