AS A FRESHMAN (2012)
Named Western Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week on April 9 after tossing a complete game with a season-high eight strikeouts in a 2-1 win at Louisiana Tech...went 7-5 in 17 games while making 15 starts in his first season with the Hornets...tallied a 5.00 ERA after allowing 48 earned runs (60 total) in 86.1 innings...recorded 45 strikeouts while walking 22...tossed two complete games...66.9 percent of his pitches were strikes, the highest mark on the team...also recorded a team-high 124 ground ball outs...earned a win in the WAC Tournament after allowing three runs on three hits in 6.1 innnings in an 8-3 semifinals victory over Fresno State on May 25...an academic all-WAC selection.

A three-year baseball letterwinner under head coach Tim Murray at Woodbridge HS of the Pacific Coast League...named first team all-league, first team all-city, first team all-CIF, co-MVP of the OC Nissan Invitational and selected for the 15th Annual Ryan Lemmon All-Star Showcase following his senior season when he started at both shortstop and pitcher…posted a 1.63 ERA in 43 innings with 30 strikeouts and hit .385 in 104 at-bats with 16 runs, 24 RBIs, two doubles, three triples and one home run in 2011...also a three-year letterwinner in football playing wide receiver, safety and quarterback.
