The first consensus freshman All-American in program history after leading the team with a .353 batting average, 10 home runs, 44 runs and 53 RBIs...ranked second in the WAC in batting average, second in slugging (.567), third in RBIs, third in home runs, sixth in runs, sixth in doubles (16) and first in total bases (122)...batted .333 with five runs, two doubles and four RBIs in four WAC Tournament games...hit grand slams at Pacific on Feb. 28 and against Dartmouth on March 15, tallying five RBIs in each game...posted the only two multi-homer games for the Hornets in 2012, hitting a grand slam and a solo home run at Pacific on Feb. 28 and a two-run bomb followed by a solo home run at Louisiana Tech on April 8...posted a team-best 16-game hitting streak from March 17 to April 11...also had a team-high on-base streak, getting on board in 27 straight games from March 17 to April 29...led the team with 14 multi-RBI games (seven games with two RBIs, four with three, one with four and two with five)...tied with Andrew Ayers for second with 22 multi-hit games...made 37 of his 56 total starts in left field, the first time he played outfield in his career...also started five games at third base and 14 at designated hitter...hit fourth in the line-up a team-high 29 times...also hit fifth a team-high 18 times.

Played baseball for four seasons under head coach Joe Potulny at Jesuit HS...named first team all-Delta River League as a junior and second team following his senior season...hit .441 his junior season and .304 with 17 runs, 22 RBIs, two doubles and three home runs as a senior...led the Marauders to a 25-9 record as a senior in 2011...helped Jesuit to a CIF Sac-Joaquin Section title as a sophomore in 2009 as a starting first baseman...played club baseball for two seasons with the El Dorado Hills Vipers and head coach Dan Bozzi...also played football and basketball at Jesuit.
