AS A FRESHMAN (2012)
Made 13 appearances with one start in his first season with the Hornets...went 2-0 with an 8.05 ERA in 19 innings pitched with five walks and 11 strikeouts...first career start came on March 20 against Pacific...allowed just one run on five hits in four innings with no walks and one strikeout in a no-decision against the Tigers...allowed six runs over three innings in his first career appearance at UC Riverside on March 9 but allowed nine runs over 16 innings in his next 12 appearances (5.06 ERA).
HIGH SCHOOL
Played baseball for four seasons under head coach David Gallegos at Eastlake HS...a first team all-Mesa League selection after his senior season in 2011...helped the Titans to Mesa League championships in 2008 and 2011...posted an 8-2 record and a 1.80 ERA in 70 innings pitched as a senior with 62 strikeouts and just 17 walks...also tallied two saves...had a 3.50 ERA in 44 innings as a junior with 47 strikeouts and 14 walks....also played water polo at Eastlake HS.
