Appeared in 20 games with nine starts...compiled a 3-4 record with a 5.54 ERA in 65 innings pitched...tallied 28 strikeouts...tossed a complete game in a 6-2 win at Utah on March 21...allowed two runs on just three hits in nine innings with five strikeouts and four walks while throwing 129 pitches against the Utes...used primarily as a long reliever in the second half of the season and shined in the role...allowed 10 runs in 11 relief appearances (20 innings) with a 4.50 ERA...held the opposition scoreless in seven of his 11 relief appearances.
AS A FRESHMAN (2011)
Made 10 appearances and four starts in his rookie season...posted a 10.89 ERA with 25 runs in 20.2 innings pitched with 14 strikeouts and 17 walks...best success came as a reliever early in the season...allowed just one hit and no runs in three innings with three strikeouts and one walk on March 2 at Pacific...followed that outing by giving up just one run and one hit in 2.1 innings with two strikeouts and two walks on March 17 against Minnesota.
HIGH SCHOOL Drafted in the 48th round of the 2010 MLB Draft by the Colorado Rockies...saw time at both third base and pitcher for head coach Mike Cody at Franklin HS...named first team all-Delta Valley League in 2008 and 2010...threw a no-hitter vs. Davis HS in 2010...hit .360 with four home runs, three triples and seven doubles in his senior season...named all-city and all-metro following his senior season.
