Played four years of baseball for head coach Dan Crabtree at Gridley HS of the Butte View League...named first-team all-conference, first-team all-area and first-team all-section as a sophomore, junior and senior...pitched a three-hit, complete game shutout and went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in his first varsity game as a sophomore...named 2010 Gridley HS Scholar-Athlete of the Year...also played basketball and competed as a jumper in track...posted 39 points and 10 rebounds against Las Plumas as a senior.
